GRE คือ อะไร ?
GRE หรือ Graduate Record Examination คือ ข้อสอบวัดระดับเพื่อใช้เข้าศึกษาต่อในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา (ป.โท/เอก) ในมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำทั่วไปในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา อังกฤษ แคนาดา ไอซ์แลนด์ นิวซีแลนด์ เช่น Business school , Law school หรือ ด้าน MS (Master of Science)
GRE สามารถใช้ยื่น MBA ได้เหมือนกันกับ GMAT แต่เนื้อหาข้อสอบจะเน้นไปทาง ‘Verbal’ หรือ ความถนัดทางภาษาอังกฤษมากกว่า และเนื้อหาข้อสอบจะแบ่งเป็น 3 พาร์ท คือ Analytical Writing Assessment Quantitative Reasoning และ Verbal Reasoning
***ผล GRE จะไม่รองรับกับ Business School ที่รับเฉพาะ GMAT หรือ Law school ที่รับเฉพาะ LSAT (Law School Admission Test)
รูปแบบข้อสอบ GRE
1. General Test หรือ การสอบทั่วไป แบ่งเป็น 3 พาร์ท คือ Analytical Writing Assessment
Quantitative Reasoning และ Verbal Reasoning
2. Subject Test หรือ การสอบเฉพาะสาขาวิชา แบ่งเป็น 6 วิชา ได้แก่
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- Literature in English
- Physics
- Psychology
เนื้อหาข้อสอบ GRE แบบ General test แบ่งเป็น 3 พาร์ท หลักๆ คือ
1. Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) : มี 1 section แบ่งเป็น 2 Essay(หรือ2 ข้อนั่นเอง) ให้เวลา
Essay ละ 30 นาที
2. Quantitative Reasoning : 2 Sections แต่ละ Section มี 20 ข้อ ให้เวลา section ละ 35 นาที
3. Verbal Reasoning : 2 sections แต่ละ Section มี 20 ข้อ ให้เวลา section ละ 30
นาที
***นอกจากนี้มี พาร์ท Unscored กับ Research ซึ่งเป็นพาร์ทที่ไม่มีการคิดคะแนน แต่ผู้สอบจำเป็นต้อง
ทำ ข้อสอบพาร์ทนี้ด้วย
